Prime Day may have happened in July, but the summer isn't the best time to shop for holiday gifts. That honor is reserved for Black Friday, where retailers nationwide slash prices on everything from clothes to televisions.

At least, that used to be the case. Amazon is looking to start the holiday shopping festivities early with Prime Big Deal Days. Think of it as Prime Day in October—this two-day event offers deep discounts on thousands of items. But, to take advantage of most of the deals, you need to be an Amazon Prime member.
