Whether you want your videos to reach a broader audience or you simply want to share certain videos with your friends, it’s easy to share your TikTok videos to your Facebook timeline. You can share your video’s link or the video itself to your Facebook account. Here’s how you can do that on your desktop or mobile device.

Share TikTok's Video Link on Facebook

One way to share a TikTok video on Facebook is to share the video’s link on your timeline. When you do this, your Facebook friends can click or tap the video link to go to TikTok and watch the actual video. Note that the video isn’t playable on Facebook in this case; the user will be redirected to TikTok when they try to access the video.

If this is how you want to share your videos, follow the instructions below for your specific device:

On iPhone and Android

If you’re an iPhone or Android user, first, launch the TikTok app on your phone. In the app, find and play the video you want to share.

On the video playback screen, on the right side, tap "Share" (a right-arrow icon).

In the "Share To" menu that opens, select "Facebook" to share your video on your Facebook timeline.

Your phone’s Facebook app will launch on the "Create Post" page. Here, TikTok has included the link to your video. You can tap the "Write Something" box to type the text to go along with your video. Feel free to change any other sharing options if you want.

Then, in the top-right corner, tap "Post" to post your TikTok video’s link.

And that’s it. Your Facebook timeline now has your selected TikTok video link. Users can click or tap this link to go to TikTok and watch the video.

On Desktop

If you’re on a Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer, launch your preferred web browser and open TikTok.com. On the site, find and play the video you want to share.

When the video plays, on the right side, click the Facebook icon.

A new tab will open in your web browser, taking you to the Facebook website. The link to your TikTok video is included in your new post. To add optional text to go along with your video, click the "Say Something About This" section and type your text.

Then, at the bottom, choose "Post to Facebook."

You’re done. You’ve successfully posted your TikTok video’s link on your Facebook timeline.

Share the TikTok Video Itself on Facebook

Another way to share a TikTok video on Facebook is by downloading the video and then uploading it to your Facebook account. When you do this, your Facebook friends can watch the video right there on Facebook without having to go to TikTok.

This is a useful option to use when your friends live in a region where TikTok doesn’t work or when your friends simply prefer not to use TikTok.

Note that this method will only work for the videos where the creators have allowed their videos to be downloaded. If a creator has disabled the download permission for their videos, you can’t download their videos to then upload to Facebook. In this case, stick to the first method above to share your video.

On iPhone and Android

On your iPhone or Android phone, launch the TikTok app and find the video to share.

On the video playback screen, in the right pane, tap "Share" (a right-arrow icon).

In the "Share To" menu, at the bottom, select "Save Video." This downloads the video to your phone.

When your video is downloaded, close TikTok, launch the Facebook app, and create a new post by tapping "What’s on Your Mind?."

On the "Create Post" screen, tap "Photo/Video" and select the video you downloaded from TikTok.

Back on the "Create Post" screen, optionally add the text to go along with your video. Change any sharing options if you want, then tap "Post" in the top-right corner.

And you’re done. You’ve successfully uploaded and shared your TikTok video with your Facebook audience.

On Desktop

On a desktop computer, launch a web browser and open TikTok.com. In the site’s bottom-right corner, click "Install App" to install the TikTok app on your computer. You have to install the app because TikTok’s web version doesn’t allow you to download videos.

When you’ve installed the app, launch the app. Then, find and play the video you want to share. Right-click the playing video, choose "Download Video," and save the video to your computer.

Launch a new tab in your web browser, open Facebook.com, and compose a new post. On the "Create Post" window, next to "Add to Your Post," click "Photo/Video" and choose "Add Photos/Videos."

Select the TikTok video you downloaded to your computer. When your video is uploaded, optionally, add the text to post with your video. Then, click "Post."

That’s all. You’ve successfully shared your TikTok video to your Facebook timeline. Your friends can now watch the video on the Facebook platform itself.
